Do not do business with this company . . . Vehicle got sold and Capinsure was notified in Oct 20, 2016. Bill was paid Nov 2016 for the 30 day early cancellation. In Dec, 2016 received a second bill with auto-payment being completed. We contacted Capinsure and was told by Lynn Hillman to let her check on it but we should not owe anything. Charges were reversed and we received a refund check for $76.92 dated Dec 8, 2016.and thought everything was ok. Then in Feb, 2017 another bill showed up Another call was made and we were told an email with a cancellation form had been sent and not returned. It was sent to an old email that is no longer used. She sent the form Feb 27, 2017 and it was immediately signed and emailed back to Lynn. It was questioned as to why there was a Dec 1, 2017 date on it and was told it was policy but that everything was fine "it was an oversight on their part". So then 3/14/17 received a letter stating monies owed and that payment needed to be made or collection agency would get notified. Again called and was told let me check on it . . . this has to be a mistake. Call came back that everything had been taken care of . . . Guess what yesterday 4/24/17 letter came from collection agency stated monies were owed and that credit agencies would be notified and impact personal credit. Again contacted Lynn Hillman and told that she would check on it that it was probably an accounting error. Guess what because they did not process the cancellation in a timely manner it but us into an extra 30 days past the 30 day penalty so we had no choice but to pay the bill and guess what . . . yes credit is and was impacted per FastPoint Collection Resources even though letter stated 45 days to pay and it was paid within one hour of having our last and final discussion with Capinsure Services. If you want to do business with a company that not only can't keep their records straight but can't keep up with insurers cancellations in timely manner then this is the company for you. If anything all that may have been owed was the $76.92 refund back that would have gladly been paid if notified and explained that it was an error. Will NEVER recommend this company!!!
