I was in Raleigh earlier this month for a wedding with several other plate-holders and one-time regulars of the Nashville Saucer and we thought we'd check out the local version. I'm pleased to say the brand holds up across state lines; we were given good advice about local brews and offered plenty of tasters unsolicitedly when we couldn't make up our minds. Our waitress, Kathryn Ann, even sat down to chat with us for a bit when the crowd thinned and really made the place feel like home. I wish this building had a quieter outer room like the Nashville branch to facilitate conversation but all in all it was a great bit of added nostalgia for all of us, most of whom now live in Saucerless wastelands. Thanks Kathryn and crew!

It was very nice. Only had a beer, but it was very interesting learning about how many beers you have to drink to earn a plate that goes up on the wall/ceiling. There are plates everywhere. And meeting Teddy Bear was really cool. Going back there Wed night to get a Turkey beer glass. The food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. Very good service at the bar.

The food is good especially for bar food. I recommend the pretzels with mustard for a appetizer. The tatter tots were disappointing though. They were mushy and the toppings sparse. The beer selection is great though the cocktails are lacking. Love the outdoor space but the inside is too open without any dividing point making it hard to hear people when it's loud. The staff is warm and welcoming.

Great beer selection, nice servers and bartenders. Good food, ample seating inside and out. Parking can be tough, but no worse than most places downtown. Fun atmosphere, great place to take visitors from out of town. They have special clubs and rewards for frequent patrons. It's awesome.

Went later in the night (1½ before closing) and was pleasantly surprised by the service. The waitress was amazing & very accommodating, we sat outside & had other party members join us later. Closer to closing a street goer who stumbled into the seating area asking for beer & to join our table & the waitress handled it magnificently. I feel horrible that I did not catch her name but she's tall, blonde hair & has glasses. She's great.

Besides the service the food was wonderful & the beer cold. The only complaint that I have is the small amount of cider on tap BUT they still had more than most places I have ever been to. I would definitely come back here again next time I am Raleigh.

Note: Sit wherever & pay at the table (or bar if you are inside)
