Unique once you get inside. Good food but pretty standard. The service was excellent and my husband was happy! :-)

I had the Pulled Pork, way too much sauce that was not good, dried off the pork to find that it wasn't good either.
I went to the counter for a free refill. 3 people behind the counter "working." They were turned completely around talking. I said excuse me and no one heard over their talking, eventually one looked behind and saw me and turned back around to keep chatting with the workers. 2 minutes later I got my refill.. I used to work in restaurants and little shops like this, total fail here. I'm not picky, I just like decent BBQ and decent service.

I really like the character of the place, from the burly owner, sparkly red seats, to dollars hanging from the ceiling. The pulled pork is excellent, which you can get on garlic bread. While the garlic bread complements the BBQ, it overpowers the slightly bland original sauce. While the flavor of the sauce is quiet, it is delicious designed. The spicy sauce is much bolder and what the original should be.
The baked beans are thick and flavorful, just as they should be.

I stopped in because I was working nearby and I was craving some BBQ. I read a couple of positive reviews so I thought I'd give them a try but regretfully I should have read all of thier reviews. I hate giving a negative review but people should know what kind of food they are likely to be served here.
I ordered the 3 meat plate with tri-tip, ribs, and spicy sausage. The meat was over cooked, dry, and lacking in flavor. I believe this is why they cover their meat with a lot of BBQ sauce, an attempt to compensate because it's dry, over cooked, and flavorless. I have asked many of my friends and family and I can't find a single person who likes dry, over cooked, and flavorless meat. It's as if they cooked this meat a week ago and have been reheating it ever since.
Was there anything good? Yes, the coleslaw and BBQ beans were good (side items). They also serve fresh brewed iced tea and that was good. The lady working the front counter was friendly and the restaurant was clean. But these aren't reasons why we visit a BBQ place, we go there for the good food. The other stuff is important but it's not the main reason.
My apologies to these people but if you want to stay in business you need to serve better food. But if you like dry, over cooked, and flavorless meat, this is the place for you.
I will not return.
