Have always heard they are the best in town, but not my experience. Took my precious Lhasa in for emergency surgery (which they didn't do until the next day, even though she was in agony). The surgery was a success, but the stitch-up job was the worst I've ever seen. They overlapped the skin rather than bringing it together for closure, The area is still giving her problems after suture removal. Wouldn't take a dying rat to them after this experience.

We brought out dog in for bloat, which is a life threatening condition. The vet quickly gave us our options, and we decided to go for the surgery, with the agreement that if her condition appeared inoperative, she would be put to sleep. We got her there soon enough that they were able to save her. The final cost came very close to the estimate. She received excellent care while she was there, and she is a happy, healthy dog today. I couldn't have asked for any better treatment or any better outcome.

I went there with my pregnant puppy that was having trouble giving birth at 4:30 in the morning after being up all night with her making sure my puppy was ok, I'm 16 and didn't have the money to pay for her they turned me away with a pregnant puppy, with two little puppy legs hanging out of her already. I was so mad and so disgusted that that the first thing they asked for was money they had no concern for neither my puppy or myself. I called my grandma and asked to borrow the 185 dollars they asked for, and she met me there at the animal clinic. I told them I had the money and they made me wait outside In the cold till with my pregnant puppy until someone came to the door, they turned me down again even though I showed them the money and said she had the baby already hanging out of her. At that point I was so mad I wanted to walk inside and show them how hurt my puppy was she was literally dying in my arms, I'm 16 what am I gonna do all I wanted to do was save my puppy and possibly save her baby, which they could've done if they just helped me. As I was walking in the lady "Jackie lawerance" pushed me into the door which made my puppy fall out of my arms and onto the ground, keep in mind that she was in labor and was already having the baby before that in my arms. I can't believe people could be so cruel to a teenager and a dog, if u care about your animals do not go there they will just push u away if u don't have the money. They are not concerned about how your animals well being is unless u show them money. I went to another clinic in Anderson and had to wait till 7:30 until they opened, the first thing they did was take my puppy out of my arms and rushed her to a room and helped her. Sadly she did not have her baby it was to late for it to make it, but my puppy was ok just in so much pain, as was I from all the caouse. My puppy wouldn't have been with me still if I didn't rush somewhere else and wait for them to help.

They treat our dogs like children, very good about payment plan ifneed be, never turn down, also they have fresh cookies every day and coffee treats for cats and dogs ,

I have used this vet for emergency twice now. Both times the veterinarians were really helpful, generous with their time, and tried their best to keep procedures and cost to a minimum. In particular i would like to thank Dr. Hawkins, Dr Bork, Dr Tangeman and Dr Caraway. It is true that the costs are too high, VCA Asher should reconsider their fees. And if they are going to charge such high fees they should allow a percentage of the bill to be paid in installments. Cost aside all the staff at VCA Asher Redding that I have had dealings with have been extremely helpful. and gone out of their way for me and my animals. Thank You!
