We found a cockroach in our room and we went to the front desk to tell them. They only moved us to another room, but same Empress tower because we came in a tour buss they said that they cannot give us something better. I told them that because we don’t fight like others do they just don’t care about us. We need to know our rights better. It is very cheap, but it doesn’t mean that people deserve a room with cockroaches, right?
We found a cockroach in our room and we went to the front desk to tell them. ROOM: I reserved a King size bed in a Non-smoking room for my wedding anniversary getaway weekend. When I arrived to the hotel after a very long drive there, I was told by front desk that they do not have my king size bedroom and that they will place us in a 2 double bed room Non-smoking AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! My husband and I were very upset about this but did not feel like arguing at that time since we were only there to enjoy our alone time together for the weekend. We went up to the room that was supposed to be non-smoking and the hallway to our room smelled like cannabis, Our NON-SMOKING Double bed room smelled like the cannabis smell in the hallway came from OUR room!!!
CLEANLINESS: We left in the morning for a stroll around downtown and came back at 3 pm to find that housekeeping NEVER stepped foot into our room to change towels, blankets, or even just pick up a little.
MANAGEMENT: I called the hotel the day after I checked out to speak with the front desk supervisor and give my complaints, He had to have been the WORST Customer service ever available. This guy was a complete JERK! Did not take anything into consideration. He stated that " Reserving a king bedroom was ONLY a request not a guarantee at their hotel and that if I did not mention anything about all this during my stay or at checkout, I was stuck." No refund, No apology what so ever, Not a tiny bit of comfort to their customers.
CASINO: There are way better casinos to go spend your money at just a few steps away, this place is great for a much older crowd.

Great prices for decent rooms. Only real down side is that you have to walk through smokey casino to get to any room elevators. Circus Circus is nice because you can check in and get to your room without taking your family through the smoke-ridden gaming floor.

Basically you get what you pay for with this hotel. The hotel room was very very basic. The entire toilet was loose and could be completely removed from its area. The sheets easily separated from the bed and the pillows were pretty old. Also, no laundry bags or extras offered in the room other than basic toiletries, old hair dryer, and ice bucket.
The casino area was a typical casino. Nothing too special to share there. If you just a cheap place to stay for the night, then it's a decent place. Not recommended for an extended stay.

The overall feeling i got from this place was dated... The security was so ride to me and my friend.. the staff other wise was generally available and ready to help. The casino selection of games was decent but the hotel it self. Big turn off was the A.C. unit. This was quite possibly the oldest thing about this place. It took forever to get the room cool and the only reason why it actually did cool off in the room.... night fall came. It was not adequate for these surprisingly spacious rooms. But everything else in the hotel was decent enough i suppose.
