After accidentally severing my pinky tendon I had a surgery scheduled 36 hours later. However, Cigna had other plans. They made me change surgeons twice, the second time after initially confirming the surgeon was in network. After this they bounced me around 4 different surgery centers and were slow to respond to the doctor's attempts to confirm a final surgery date. After 6 days of delays I was able to finally confirm a surgery date that should have been performed days ago. Their lack of care costs them long term money and should deter any future Cigna customers from this awful company.
