I was going to Bank of America to open an account. On the way in a young girl about 10 years old was selling candy as part of an "at-risk" youth group to fund a summer field trip. I told her I would buy a bag on the way out. As I'm going in the manager comes out and kicks her out, telling her she has to go across the street to the gas station. I get that it's "unsolicited" selling or whatever but have a heart!!!
So I bought her whole box of candy and told her that she's gonna run into scummy people and not to let it get her down. I'm sitting in the Wells Fargo parking now as I write this. Time for me to go open my new account....

Went to find out what happened in terms of an overdraft fee, found out that even with overdraft protection you are charged with a $12 fee. After waiting over an hour they finally were able to tell me that not only could I not dispute the overdraft fee, but that I was due to be hit with another one even though I already payed the first fee.
The poor service and terrible banking procedures at this bank have left me short over $70 and have made me an official Bank of America "hater." Goodbye forever BoA, and good riddance.

Went in to open basic Checking and Savings accounts. Jordan and Neha were very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a completely painless process. We'll see what being a BoA customer is like after banking with the little guy for decades.

I visited this branch on October 5th, to open my second business account with BOA. I waited an hour before I was told that I would have to return back tomorrow because the branch closes in 30 minutes and they wouldn’t be able to see me.
I returned today, October 6th. I waited only 30 minutes before Mr. Algie Gentry ushered me into his office. I informed him that I wanted to open a second business account. In response, he asked me for my business plan. I was completely taken aback and asked “Why do you need my business plan?” His response, “Well, give me whatever you have.” I gave him a copy of my business license and told him my EIN number. He stated that this wasn’t enough information and that I needed the EIN number printed on a paper from the IRS. Then, I was asked to make an appointment for another day.
I left the branch and immediately went to the BOA on W. Broad St. There, I met with Ms. Cruz Almonte. Ms. Almonte was a pleasure to work with. And with her, I opened my second account without any issues.
I don’t know what Mr. Gentry’s problem was. But I can only imagine. Even still, I’m surely never going back to this branch again to open an account.
