Unadulterated. Just amazing food with a no frills attitude. Portions are big in size and in flavor. Mix of coffee mugs that you'd find at your grandparents house and a staff that matches your grandparents hospitality. You won't be disappointed here.

Took my daughter for mommy daughter brunch. It was excellent. The sausage and gravy portion was enormous and excellent. Limited seating, but excellent food, lots of strange art as conversation starters. awesome experience, 11/10 according to my daughter.

Incredible food. Went with the USS Brooklyn. Only did a half, colossal! And, delicious. Bread was fantastic. Being from the Philly market I know good bread. The roll was top notch. Though you might be completely filled with your meal you must try the banana bread. Our waitress, Laura, insisted and she was right on. You have to have the banana bread pudding, AWESOME!!! Thank you, Laura, for the excellent service. We will definitely stop back in next time in Richmond.

Great lunch spot! The sandwiches are huge, even when you get a half. I got the SS Lafayette - which has shrimp & artichokes- and I was really satisfied. Also, they have coca cola and root beer made from real sugar (from Mexico & Louisiana respectively). It's a nice atmosphere inside, with cool art & fun salt and pepper shakers.

At first we were Leary about this place since it's on a back road, but it had great reviews. When it's not busy you can sit any where and they have a very unique menu with s mom and pop feel. We didn't realize how HUGE the subs are. We got half portions which was over a foot long. The whole is just huge!! You must come hungry. We ordered the USS Manasass(rainbow trout) and the steak sub. Sauces were delicious and light. Took awhile for some reason for or Sunday to come out after 3 other tables arrived after us, but when we mentioned it our food came out right away. Wine and drinks are small portions on tap and beers are in bottles. Decor is a little creepy but very unique and well. Prices were very reasonable.We would eat here again when very very hungry.
