Good beer list. Food was just ok. Service was incredibly slow. Took 1.5hours to get pretzels, even though there were only about 5 tables. I think they spent the extra time overcooking my burger. Even getting waters and menus took a very long time

Went to a concert and had dinner with beers. Arrived before 7 to have dinner before show. (Wristband applied so tightly it left marks.)4 of us for dinner. 2 of 4 entrees ordered were 20 minutes later advised unavailable. Took 10 minutes longer to get menu back to reorder. Drink refills took as long as 35 minutes. Some types beer unavailable. There were no napkins or silverware available until 10 minutes after our food arrived. We retrieved paper towels from the restroom and were ultimately provided plastic service ware. On entree cold on arrival. Remainder of food was good.

Having both patronized & been temporarily employed at this location ... Capital Ale House Downtown provides a unique & historic venue that can accommodate families, large parties & host live music events.
The food can be hit or miss. It's good ... but not great ... however, the craft beer selection is endless.
The kitchen is excellent at executing the menu ... but the majority the menu items are prepared from frozen ... created from scratch.
Management is dedicated to endure that every patron is happy w/ the food & service they receive. If a customer shares a complaint w/ Management ... within reason ... Management will resolve the issue.

Great place for casual dining and drink and thank you Capital Ale House for being the venue for so many of the School of Rock concerts. Great job on the improvements to the concert hall (or whatever you call it). Stage is bigger and looks great, lighting and sound are much improved. Thank you thank you thank. Some the happiest and proudest moments of my life as a parent have happened here.

Burgers are good. If you do pick up you have to go to the bar which is typical, however out took them about a good five minutes to acknowledge me. The girl that can over was nice and told the guy there that I was waiting for a pick up, same guy who see me initially but did not acknowledge me. The girl was kind and attentive.
