Hands down the best Thai food in town. Insane green curry. Just like at a good restaurant in thailand

Great food, good service. Had Pad Thai and a spring roll, hot- did not dissapointing. Took it home and my wife finished my leftovers.

Fantastic Food!!
we were looking for a place we had not yet visited in Cary town, so glad I read the Google reviews for this place..
The service was great the food was absolutely amazing!
tasted like everything was made with fresh ingredients, they asked the amount of spice you wanted..
The different vegetables were each cooked individually apparently, because they were all done to perfection...
there is limited seating but they have outdoor seating as well...
absolutely worth it if you have to wait a few minutes
Great Place!!!

I would say that Ginger Thai some of best Thai food in Richmond. The restaurant is rather small though, so getting a table at prime meal times can be challenging. I wouldn't bring a party over 4 people here either. Prices are about $3-4 over what I'd normally like to pay for a meal but they give you so much food that you should be able to get 2 meals out of it easily.

Richmond is lucky to have a great number of genuinely good Thai restaurants. For the size of our city (not small mind you), Thai options are abundant. Ginger is the best in a strong field of competitors. For years I stuck to Thai Dinner Too, which I still love, and prefer sometimes depending on the situation, but Ginger is the superior option based purely on taste. Having said that, it's priced accordingly. Ginger is markedly more expensive than much of the competition. You could very well argue some of the competition might even have a better value than Ginger, food/cost-wise (the aforementioned Thai Dinner Too coming to mind, excellent for the comparably affordable price). Still, since we started going to Ginger, it's been hard not to compare everything else to it as the gold standard among local options. I wish they delivered, and I wish they were priced more competitively, but I guess the advantage to having the best product is you get to charge a luxury tax. Again, though, saying they're the best isn't meant to disparage the other RVA Thai options. Virtually all of the ones I've visited merit another visit. You can't go wrong. It just depends on how much you wanna pay. Five stars for being the best, not the cheapest.
