I have never dealt with such an unprofessional group of individuals or a company that did not honor or stand by their products. I purchased a gift card for my daughter in PA for her graduation and was told that because it was purchased in the system she could use the purchase anywhere. Upon trying to use the sessions I already paid for they were not willing to honor the session because she did not have a physical gift card in hand, even after I myself called personally to ensure to verify the purchase with the card used to purchase it, ect.all other stores are except for Richmond. Horrible horrible customer service! I will never ever use the services there again and will be sure to let any friends family know not to waste their money there!!

I just called to schedule a free massage and was told I would have to pay additional $$, and gratuity. Not that I mind the gratuity, why is this place still in biz when a gift certificate was obviously PURCHASED for services already? Trying another location if I get the same response, Massage Envy can keep the gift certificate. Sorry for the loss to the purchaser and to myself for the gift.

My daughter gave me a gift certificate as a Christmas gift. When I called to make an appointment, they told me I had to pay an additional $40. This is not stated ANYWHERE on their website. I will be contacting State Corporation Commission and Better Business Bureau about this.

A Friend booked a one hour massage for me as a birthday gift. I just got back from my appointment. I have to say, not only was I unimpressed, I am angry that my friend played $40 for this dismal experience. On my form, I requested a deep massage with special attention to my neck and shoulders. I have herniated discs in my neck and really wanted special attention paid to my neck and shoulders. When the massage therapist came in, she told me she did not have training in deep massage technique and would have to go find someone else. The young woman that was sent in her place was very pleasant. Too bad she never got to the areas I had specifically requested attention for. My neck is still stiff and my shoulders are still tight. The "massage" she gave my back has left me in pain. Then, after the massage was over, she didn't even have a towel for me to wipe off the massage oil with. She had to go get one. Overall, I think my friend wasted her $40. I'll never go to Massage Envy again. They should give my friend her money back.

The actual massage was wonderful. However, the high pressure sales tactics ruin the relaxation. They will pester you to death when all you want to do is relax. I have a gift card there to use up or I would never go back. After I'm done with the gift card-Never again.
