Do NOT take the Masters in Data Science program. They sell this to you and promise you can handle it with a full time job because it's basic c programming and any java programmer should be comfortable. In reality it is HEAVY c programming that you should only undertake if you're coming straight out of a compiler class. You will NOT have time to work. You will NOT LEARN anything because you will be programming in c that reading the book and actually learning something will not be possible. There will be absolutely no use for you or your career in taking this program unless you intend to go write database software for Oracle. The only redeeming factor of this program is the management classes you will take. Outside of that it's completely pointless and will probably cause you cancer. I really wish that the recruiters would be honest when advertising this program. All they really want is your money and for you to drop out after you realize you've been had. Stay away if you're anything but and advanced c programmer(in which case data science probably won't do you much good)!!!

A great campus. Lots of resources provided for the student. If you are a student and a commuter, there are only 3 parking lots available unless you pay more for extra parking lots AND they are quite far away from the main campus.

Went during a very hot summer to the gardens. Very dryed out but still took some nice pictures. Going back again in April should be beautiful

The police officers at UCR are awesome. A few weeks ago I went to UCR for a Stussy clothing sale. The sale was awesome and I was there about an hour and a half. UCR is gigantic and I didn't pay attention to where I parked. A dear friend and brother Arnoldo Tejeda drove me around for almost two hours looking for my car to no avail. I finally stopped in the UCR Police Department Station and ask for help. I was nervous, panicking and worn out. Officer Jim Bowen was so kind and understanding. I couldn't have asked for more. In a short time he found where my car was parked. Officer Bowen was genuine in that he cared I would like to thank Officer Bowen and the UCR Police Department for their assistance and dedication.

My husband is a student here and we live in family housing. So I just love to walk around the UC there are plenty of places with sidewalks so it's easy and safe with my kids. I enjoy all the trees and shady places. There are so many spots to relax, read enjoy a coffee or just to stroll.
