Backstreet is a hidden little gem!! It's a pretty basic deli sandwich place that is only open a few hours a day, but so worth finding the time.

Limited menu that features sandwiches. Self service. You stand in line and order from the counter, pay and choose garnishment from a refrigerated table. Then you are allowed to choose your table. Most seating is located outdoors and is decorated in an eclectic motif. I ordered the Corned Beef on rye bread. It was served with mustard and pickles and a choice of baked beans or coleslaw. I opted for the slaw that had a unique flavor and was not sweet at all. Pepsi soda products are available.

Table staff are very attentive and quick to get your drink refills. However I was put off by the young lady asking me for my tray while I was trying to situate myself at the table. She explained that are needed for customers that are arriving.

I'm not sorry I experienced this lunch spot but I don't see myself returning anytime soon. There are several small eateries in the area I prefer.

Consistently one of our favorite places. So beautiful, and even more so at night. It's been amazing to watch the transformation over the years as the Backstreet builds more and more character.
