I was referred to The Beauty Medics from a family friend and my plan was to get laser hair removal from my chin. I am an african-american male and I have been struggling with razor bumps for years. My job requires me to be clean shaven so the hair removal process was an option I looked in to. I met with Dr. Sahar, who is a very kind and honest person, she advised me due to my dark skin color the machine may not be able to differentiate between my skin and the hair follicle (which could lead to burning of the skin). After a couple of test sessions I have already noticed major results! I look forward to continuing this process and would encourage anyone with dark skin to schedule a consultation with Dr. Sahar!

I had Smart Lipo on my inner thighs and knees in March, and the results are beyond what I'd dared to hope for. In spite of being stuck with unsightly, genetically predetermined fat deposits on my small frame which were there regardless of how low my weight was, I never considered conventional lipo. General anesthesia is a risk I'd take only for preservation of life or mobility, it's too expensive, and would've left me with hanging skin. I'm very skeptical of hyped cosmetic procedures and discovered that non-surgical lipo procedures are either gimmicks which don't do much at all, or have unpredictable results which could leave me looking worse.

My initial consultation with Sahar convinced me, without any kind of hard sell, glossing over of potentially negative aspects, or attempts at upselling other services. If you dread needles like I do, you'll have nothing to fear. Michelle has been injecting anesthetic for Smart Lipo since it was invented; I honestly had no idea when the needles went in. Michelle also advises Dr. Bokhari on precise fat removal. My case was difficult because my legs are otherwise thin, and could easily have come out looking pretty weird without someone so experienced. Dr. Bokhari is a cardiologist, and treats his patients like individuals. He will listen to you and take your concerns seriously. He also treats his staff with the courtesy and regard due to fellow professionals, which was very important to me. During the procedure, there will be odd sensations and there may be brief pain (of much less intensity than a dental procedure under local anesthetic), but the doctor wants you to let him know if there's pain; it helps guide the fat removal by backing off when it gets
too close to other tissue. Sahar will assist as well, and I've not encountered a more genuinely warm, knowledgeable and reassuring medical professional. Dr. Bokhari, Michelle and Sahar will all put you at ease during every phase.

It's very important to follow pre-op and post-op instructions. The compression garment is annoying, but wear it! Two weeks isn't long in adult thinking. Consider two weeks ago - it isn't much time at all. Also, believe what Sahar tells you about the stages of results. The day after will be a preview of how it'll look, but for 2-4 weeks the swelling might make you think you've made a mistake; be patient. The laser really does ease the fat from its moorings before removal, whereas conventional lipo just rips it away (requiring 6 weeks of compression garments), but the body will still overcompensate for the invasion. Being middle aged, my empty skin won't bounce completely back but I'm sure it will if you're younger. For the first time since I was 13, I'm comfortable. I can just pull on normal jeans without feeling freakish. I can wear 5 inch inseam shorts now, as opposed to 9. It was that conspicuous; I wasn't going for a fashionable thigh gap. To my surprise, I got one anyway, as well as a dramatic reduction in cellulite (which isn't a guaranteed result). I think $4000 was a fair price for this kind of freedom. I only wish I'd had it done sooner.

I started going to Sahar at the Beauty Medics last year for laser hair removal on my forearms, hands, and fingers. I had six sessions and the hair was significantly reduced by the end of them and has remained lighter and thinner ever since. I was forewarned that the hair may not go away completely, since it was already light to begin with. (The results are best with dark coarse hair.) She was completely honest and upfront about this in my consultation, which I appreciate tremendously.
I was so pleased with my results, that I have returned and started sessions on my legs and feet a few months ago, and so far the results are even better than what I have seen on my arms.
Sahar is professional and great at what she does, but also very friendly and always full of positive energy. Coming to see her is always a refreshing experience!
Upon getting to know each other further, Sahar invited me to come do makeup for the Beauty Medics' Anniversary Party and potentially meet some new clients of my own. She is so generous and kind, which makes the service that much better. It doesn't feel like you're coming to the doctor, it feels like you're coming to see a friend.

The staff is so very nice and professional! I had an amazing experience the moment I walked in. The consultation with Dr. Sahar was very comfortable. She helped me understand everything and made me very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend family and friends!

Amazing experience, awesome staff, very professional in answering any questions asked and they make you feel very comfortable. Amazing results with the laser hair removal treatments. Over all an awesome experience each time I go.
