Always a cozy time with friendly staff. They convinced us to play trivia night and we tanked, but it was enjoyable to try! (2/10 answers, oops) -- Miss some of the old menu items from years passed, and could use some new features, but still an enjoyable place

Fun place, love the cider and big selectipn. Staff changes yearly, so you need to go often to be a regular. Sometimes food service is a bot slow when crowded. Love the snug, had many a good birthday there! Only real drawback, just a single woman's toilet for whole nar, so in a crowd, get in line before you really need to go!

Authentic English pub fare. Good whiskey and beer selection. Hearty pub food including fish and chips everyday. Most of the servers are on a year's visit from across the pond. Our party had the Shepherd's Pie which was rated excellent by an expat Britisher. Lots of parking at the back of the building.

I really used to love having lunch/dinner at the old toad. Their menu was especially great for vegetarians. It was so nice not being relegated to a boring salad and besides that I was able to get vegetarian bangers and mash or vegetarian shepards pie. They have recently(within the past 6 months or so) changed their menu and their vegetarian options are the same boring thing at every other place (so sad about the arrogant bangers and mash!!). I do love a good salad though so I tried their version of a goat cheese salad and the lettuce barely covered the plate! If you are going to charge $13 for salad there should be a fair amount of lettuce.
The atmosphere is nice here and the wait staff really conversational and fun which is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of two. I would probably only be back for a cider.
