Dont Worry (20.11.2017 19:23)
I just called to ask a quick question and the secretary or nurse would not give me an answer I do not recommend this place and I would never want any pregnant person To miscarry because of them. If u want your baby to live don't go here!!!!!!

The doctors are phenomenal but their triage nurses are horrible. They don't care to ask questions they just assume things without gathering info the way nurses are supposed to. I will no longer be a patient here because in order to communicate with the doctor you have to go through their terrible nurses. So sad.

I am shocked at some of the negative things said about this office on this Google page. I have been going to Parkwest Woman's Health for 35 years and have had only good quality professional care there from everyone. From the first time I went there, after having lost my first baby, through two full-term pregnancies, to when my life was saved due a doctor at this office caring enough to get involved with something my (then) regular doctor's office was dropping the ball on, to and now through menopause. Everyone has always been great. Heck, they even have a nurse line that we can call to ask any question to. If the people complaining on this page REALLY had such horrid times, then they should have called and talked to someone at the office. I cannot imaging having such hard times at a doctor's office and only taking to the internet to complain about such things. --I do not believe them. This office is just too nice and too professional and too good at communication for what these women claim to be true.

Nurses would never write down something that was not true in a woman's records. Nurses would not get upset if we wanted a nurse in with us for our exam, they actually ask if we want such. Even my male doctor offered that my now grown daughters could have a female doctor if they feel more comfortable with one. The only thing I can think is that this office is quite big, with far more patients than an average office and therefore is going to have a few that are not quite all there. Keep in mind that for the number of patients this office has, these few are NOT the norm.

Very happy with the care I receive from Dr Edgar, as have my friends whom I referred to her. She answers all my questions completely and it's apparent that she applies the latest research in her treatment plan. She also makes a point to include my husband in the appointments he attends, answering his questions honestly and with the detail he likes.

As for those frustrated with wait times, I just ask that you consider what other patients may need vs blaming the doc. I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy and I'm sure that patients were seen late because my doctor took the time to comfort me and my husband through an unexpected and traumatic experience; because of this I'll never complain of waiting.

I would like to comment with a personal experience and one that I still think of often. Three years ago, I was going into ParkWest for my annual checkup. At the time, I had a minor anxiety problem and being in doctor's offices often makes me nervous so my blood pressure was unusually high. The nurse who is checking my vitals asked me if I was a smoker and I said "No". She continued to berate me asking if I was a smoker, had I ever smoked at a party or while drunk etc., and again I said "No". She scoffs at me, finally leaves me alone and I go about finishing the rest of my visit.

A year later, I go back for my annual, I'm getting my vitals done and a different nurse asks "So are you still a daily smoker?" I sit there in shock while she tells me that apparently the nurse from the previous year wrote on my chart that I was a daily smoker because of my high blood pressure. I have never been so insulted in my life that this nurse not only clearly didn't believe me, but also put my health and my health insurance at risk by writing a boldfaced LIE on my chart.

This incident not only left a bad taste in my mouth, but turned my small anxiety about doctors into a much larger issue. I will never return to ParkWest and I hope other women stay away from this place too.
