Halal meat is served here. Owners are well known Muslims. I Have had Mehran Sacramento food catered at several events I have attended. Pretty good desi food with friendly staff and service. Note: they share the name "Mehran Restaurant" with the Bay Area locations, but are independently owned and operated.

Few nights ago me and my boyfriend decided to treat ourselves with some delicious Indian food, since I am a fan. We spent an hour trying to find this place. When we came in there was two men sitting at a table and nobody bothered to help us. We waited there for server but nobody showed up. Hungry and disappointed we left this sketchy looking place. Will not return.

Chilly inside, white table cloth place. Kind of a hole in the wall, parking in the back and not very obvious. Not very crowded but delicious - and fast, attentive service. Loved it! Great food. Can't wait to go back.

Don't expect a high quality experience at Mehran's. The food is of average quality and the service is terrible. The servings are pathetically small and you will be charged outrageous prices for small servings of rice. Price/food ratio is ridiculous.
