This review is more of a 3.5 than a 3, but sadly I can't show this on here.

I decided to stop by for dinner as I was nearby and had a serious craving for a burrito.
The reviews and photos looked awesome and convincing so I was looking forward to trying Taqueria Maya for the first time.

Pros:
-good menu with items I don't typically see like huaraches or cactus juice
-friendly and fast service
-they take both card and cash
-large space so good for larger groups
-tasty chips and salsa bar!
-huge portions and good prices

Con:
I ordered a burrito and while it was huge I was disappointed for about half of it. Mainly because it was just salsa. Pico de gallo I don't mind, but they had combined it with something else that made it really saucy and had a tang to it which I didn't particularly like.
I plowed on thinking they had to have put rice and beans and meat at some point.
Sadly, I had to sort of empty out the salsa to get to any rice or meat. I didn't really see much in the way of beans either so I was picking through and mixing things up to get everything combined as best as I could.
On the plus side the rice and the beans I did eat were really tasty! I just wish it had been better distributed as a whole.

It was also cold, but that is probably related to all of the salsa that was in the burrito.

Will this deter me from coming here? Not really.
I found I have to try a few things to see if a place and I mesh so I plan on trying their menu again.

All of the pros certainly make it an easy decision to make.

If your Really Mexican then you know this food is really good!!! Only reason why it wasn't 4 stars was because salad serving was a little bit but overall. We got our food at great timing. Would recommend if your looking for something to eat that will get you full :)

Food was aweful, as long with customer service. You get 1 small basket of tortilla chips, if you want more charge is .25. Have been here to eat years ago, thought the food would be better, I was wrong. Will not be back again.

Amazingly good food. I came here when it was 108 outside. Ridiculously warm inside. We debated sitting outside where we could possibly get some fresh air and maybe a breeze, but it was locked up. There is no way to get to the patio from outside the business. Probably to keep drifters from setting up camp.
But the food was amazing despite how hot it was. Good service too.
