Unfortunately, ZERO STARS.

Dr. Bhatti misdiagnosed a SIMPLE COMMON condition in my cat, repeatedly...a reaction caused by the herpes virus, diagnosing him INSTEAD with corneal ulcers, first from trauma, then, from bacteria...when, in fact, he had a common, simple VIRAL condition.

He prescribed copious amounts of antibiotics, shots, ointments, drops, and collar. Dr. Bhatti is supposed to have "a wide range of clinical interests and skills, with particular interest in immune-mediated disease", which is EXACTLY what my cat's new treatment team has diagnosed him with: "eosinophilia keratitis of both eyes, a process of abnormal inflammatory response and is linked to herpes virus infections". NOT bacterial, NOT corneal ulcers.

My cat NEVER had "corneal ulcers". He had plaque building up in response to the herpes virus, and developed "eosinophilia keratitis" in both eyes (diagnosed by UC Davis doctors). He only had this, slightly, in one eye when he was first examined by Dr. Bhatti. He was discharged as "cured" after 4-5 office visits, with instructions to finish out several antibiotics and eye drops, and to schedule a return visit to clean his teeth.

My cat's inflammatory response is linked to stress and only became worse under Dr. Bhatti's care. A month later, after being discharged, I returned with my cat, to his office, only to have his clinical symptoms minimized and be told it was now, "corneal ulcers in BOTH caused by BACTERIA and cross contamination", prescribed more antibiotics, injections...all unnecessary, even harmful, medications. Total for these medications/visits over $500 and, all they did was make him suffer, foam at the mouth, hide from me, and result in him being harder to medicate now.

I immediately scheduled him for the first opening at UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital where he was properly diagnosed by the competent staff (one senior student, and two doctors) at UCDavis Veterinary Teaching a Hospital on August 15. I did not utilize the Opthamolgist Veterinarian Dr. Bhatti recommended, although I did call, and they had no appointments available until mid August, as well. My trust in Dr. Bhatti was lost. My cat would now need to wait 6 weeks!

Stress exacerbates this condition. Dr. Bhatti's neglect in providing a correct diagnosis, the delay in proper treatment, and the administration of multiple injections and the administration of copious amounts of erroneous, ineffective, even harmful medications, only compounded this stress, making my cat's condition worse. My cat endured much stress, pain, and suffering under the "care" of Dr. Bhatti...as did I, and both my sons.

Costs incurred since discontinuing Dr. Bhatti's regime...over $450 and, today, I learned, he'll require steroid topical medication, and, most likely, drops for the rest of his life ($140 a bottle). I have no idea the cost of the steroids.

Due to misdiagnosis, and the prescribing and administration of improper medications, the plaque continued to build up and, according to doctor at UC Davis, upon recheck, stated, "Hopefully the pink plaques will regress, however this could take quite some time as they were quite large and thick (months)."

What a horrible experience. They were not listening to me regarding the medications and his reactions to them. How could he/they miss such a simple diagnosis? My poor cat. I'm tired. He's tired. My sons are tired.

I pray this doesn't happen to another.

Jessie was super helpful in getting us in ASAP and the vet was very helpful in figuring out that our pup had a torn ACL. Great team

This is the worst vet you can go to. It may be cheap but it's cheap for a reason. The doctor doesn't care for your pets just the money. If you really care for your pets take them somewhere else this place is horrible. They give you wrong information and they also don't know how to take care of your pets.

I love this vet hospital! I've taken my pups to many different vets and this one is by far my favorite, I highly recommend this place. We've been coming here for over a year now.
They are straightforward, honest, and caring. They do not try to add extra things into my vet bill, actually the opposite. The staff is always giving me tips on how to save money and is considerate about the cost. I've heard stories of vets saying a dog needed tooth extractions just for the money- I just had my pet's teeth cleaned here today and she didn't have a single extraction. When I asked the staff if an IV fluid was necessary they gave me an honest answer. During her time there today they even clipped her nails and didn't charge me for that. I've always been charged for that! Not only that, but the staff sent us home with a free sweater. And this was from just one experience.
Overall, they are friendly, cost effective and will take great care of you pets! You don't have to wait very long at all when you go for your appointment or to schedule it. Keep up the great work! :)

It was my first time there and Baylee is my first puppy. I'm surprise to say that this vet has not gotten any review nor at the vet itself is not busy. The service was great, I was able to make a quick appointment. Its pretty affordable. Discovery animal is pretty far from where I live but I think the distance is worth it! They were so nice and helpful and caring whether its on the phone or in person.
