I ordered the carnitas dinner, one chips and salsa later I was informed, no carnitas available☹. Okay I'll have the menudo......😞. Hasn't arrived yet, we'll see.
Okay, the table across from us got their order, dam it looks good. Oh yeah and they came in after us😠. The menudo..... worth the wait🤣. The wifey had carne asada, medium well.....was okay. Lots of grissel, too much grissel actually. Oh well, over all 3.5 stars. I'm being fair with the stars.

Worst service ever. Wait time was over 50 minutes. I understand (on sunday around 11) Its busy but that is just unacceptable. If i wasent with a group that wanted to stay i would have left after 20 minutes.
The food is not anything special that i would wait this long for.
I ordered a bacon, cheese and egg burrito as shown by the image. This is a basic dish that i thought you could not mess up but i was wrong. Instead of what i ordered i got a burrito with ham, cheese and egg (its not a huge difference but i am paying for this, so i expect to get what ordered. Dont try to trick me can taste the difference. I told them and sent it back. I now had to wait longer to get my food. When i got my burrito it was cold. I asked the waitress i they could warm it up. She gave me a look like just be quite and eat it. They gave me back my dish but it was still cold. At this point i just ate it. Waitng over 90 minutes for this when it should of been less than 20 minutes.
There restrooms are very dirty and not kept clean. Im a guy so i can use the restroom here if i need to. But if the womens restroom is kept in the same condition then i highly dought you would like to use it.
Overall if you want to come here come on a slow day or dont come at all, you can still get the same taste some where else. I will not be returing at all, if you want my advice dont come to this location who knows if another location is better. There standardsrs are low since they know people will still come but that is unacceptable. I dont recommend this place

This is a very pleasant restaurant that serves up some good German food among other types. It is not open for lunch, however, so only dinner, or maybe drinks since they have a nice little bar area and a off to the side little room where you can have just a drink or full menu...... Nice charming place in Salinas. Like the warm German potato salad, and the Wiener Schnitzle with salad, also their big bean salad is very delicious.
