He made a sensitive visit very easy to deal with. He gave accurate expectations. The appointment was fast and I'm in little to no pain.

Not a huge fan of the try it and see method. After 6+ months of debilitating pain, a cupboard full of prescriptions that I cannot use or return, and no real answers I finally Had to find a new doctor. With-in two visits with the new Dr. and real tests, I was scheduled for surgery. Although all of the staff seemed professional and friendly, I feel that maybe they discounted the amount of pain and discomfort I was actually in. Maybe they thought I was "fishing for meds." I spent a huge amount of my own money, not to mention the insurance company's money. If I thought it would do me any good I would try to recover some of that. money.

As a patient with bladder cancer who was priveledged to be compassionately diagnosed, expertly operated on, and regularly received immunal therapy by Dr. Matern, I am passionate to say that he is an outstanding physician because he loves what he does, because he cares about each patient, and because he knows his stuff!
