If you love your pet, don't ever take them here. Called and made an appointment for my 5 month old rotty because he was showing signs of Parvo. Got there and the lady at the front desk immediately gave me attitude and accused me of never making an appointment, I even called again right in front of her to make sure it was the right number and it was. She neglected him treatment and my poor baby didn't make it that night. Please take your loved ones somewhere else.

I purchased a wellness plan for my cat here YEARS ago the same day I adopted her, and the plan feels like one of the few things in my life that's worth every penny. We've never had any health scares thank goodness but the check ups are always great. I haven't met a staff member that wasn't super sweet and they are always flexible so that I can drop her off and pick her up before and after work. They are always very careful to explain what your pet had done and what the results were and I get phone calls during the day telling me how procedures went. I did have a collar get lost here once and never did get it back but they arn't expensive so no big deal. The check ups are great, it's nice to have someone looking out for my pet's health just incase I miss some sign or health issue.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET! DON'T USE BANFIELD HOSPITALS.
Horrible communication skills and service ... Will never return and will highly advise those I know to never support this hospital or its services! Please use caution if you decided to take your animal to Banfield. When I was try to cancel the Wellness plan, I BEEN FORCE to keep paying 3 additional months, so they can make more money without any work, the personnel at the 389 W 1830 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 location is totally unprofessional .

I went in for a regular wellness appointment and checkup with my extremely shy dog, Monroe. The staff at Banfield were very understanding and patient with Monroe and she seemed less stressed than a normal vet visit. The prices were very fair. I'll definitely be back!

Banfield has a fairly unique business model with their Wellness Plans where you can pre-purchase a year's worth of routine services with the option of dental cleanings. Cost wise, it is reasonably priced and helps you budget for pet care needs.

When Dr. Hawkins was at Banfield I thought they provided great service and care. He has since moved to another location and I no longer patronize them due to the turnover of veterinarians. The new veterinarians were all just starting their careers and only staid around 6 months to a year. This type of turnover of key people makes it hard to continue a long term customer relationship.

If they could hire and retain quality veterinarians, I think the overall experiences people have would improve. They are a large, nation wide corporation and I think management's focus may be more about money metrics. (Same as most large corporations.)
