Lovely hotel in a beautiful, quiet section of the Riverwalk. Rooms are large, generally quiet, and comfortable - an Embassy Suites style room without the large chain feel. Two things need improvement in order for me to take it 5 stars:. Service and Maintenance. Service is efficient but not warm. It seemed always like a transaction. No "so how was your stay" on checkout. The agent just asked for our room number and if we had seen our bill. No "welcome to San Antonio and to our hotel, we are glad you are here," at check in. Just a request for it last name. There last time we were at this hotel the service seemed exceptional. As for maintenance, the room just needs some fixing. I pulled up on the control to close the sink and the knob came off. The toilet took two flushes to fully empty. Just two of several examples of minor maintenance that should be taken care of. Minor, yes, and the small things separate good from great.

Very nice place to stay, ideal for all tourist attractions, within walking distance of every thing. Clean and well maintained. Staff excellent. Parking costs a bit high , but all parking here is costly. Didn't eat at this hotel, but the bar services are good and plenty of choice. Swimming pool on the roof a lovely place to sit and enjoy the excellent views. Plenty of clean towels.

Rooms are nice and roomy with a fold out couch and two full bed. AC is nice and cold. The pool on the rooftop is small but heated and plenty of clean towels are available. There seems to always be people enjoying the pool. There is also a small exercise room on the top floor. The bad: first room had leftover undies from last guest hanging in the bathroom. The carpet was also damp and dirtied our feet. The second room was much cleaner.

We stayed in a suite. The room was great, but you can hear every noise being made around you. The lady that checked us in was not pleasant at all and does not look happy to be here. Finally, I wanted to do something nice for my husband since it was his birthday and our 10yr anniversary the day we arrive however 3 days into our stay I am still waiting for concierge to contact me. I loved the room but the services and amenities are just not where they need to be for a 4 diamond hotel.
