I agree, new home area STINKS and is useless to me ..and many others.
I decided to take it to work one day instead of the trolley (to Fenton Pkwy. Mission Valley)and after calling for the nearest drop off area,because the car wouldn't shut off...I ended up having to take it all the way back home to Old Town, to take the trolley from there...it made me 31 minutes late!
A $2.50 trolley ride ended up costing me an est $11, and a 1/2 hour pay..
I learned my lesson.

We love Car2Go, but they really need to expand the home area. There are so many places besides the beaches to take a car, such as hiking etc., yet we're always renting a car the old fashioned way instead. It never makes sense to keep the car on a layover, and Car2Go is missing opportunities to expand themselves.

Also, while the lower rates are nice, the non-electric cares are awful--almost dangerous to drive the transmissions are so bad.

I have been so happy to have this service available. Have been an Urban person in many cities and this service makes inner city commuting a charm.Love it ! xo
