They should not rent bicycles in Balboa Park. The area to ride is too limited with too many pedestrians and vehicles, bordering on dangerous. It is not worth your time or money. The 4 and 6-person bikes are difficult to maneuver and brake, and very tiring on even a slight incline. The map provided was poorly constructed, and the brusque employee didn’t help to improve things.
