Had dinner here with a client and BAM, they nailed it. Everything was fantastic from start to finish and the service was top notch. I started with the squash blossom appetizer - delicious. Second course was the lobster bisque - rich and creamy with loads of fresh Main lobster. Main course (special of the evening) was a pan roasted sea bass with creamy potatoes and pickled pepper - freaking awesome. It came swimming in a light green froth that had just a hint of salty ocean air taste - really well executed. I skipped dessert, opting for a taste of Fladgate tawny port instead. All in all a fantastic meal.

Upscale, with price to match, restaurant specializing in seafood. Fresh oysters are also on the menu. Dishes are well presented and tasty. Recommend trying the octopus. The decor is "stately". There is a large bar area.

Good food but pricey. Service was a little slow. I respect the fact that the waiter "didn't want to interrupt our conversation", but he didn't even attempt to ask if we were ready to order. The oysters were incredible - some of the best I've tasted.

The lobster bisque and artisan freshly baked bread were 😋 DELICIOUS. Loved the elegant, upscale yet relaxed vibe and the very warm welcome and customer service. My friends and I stopped in from the very loud and bustling activity just outside the front door in San Diego's Gas Lamp District. The big band and 40 S jazz piped-in background music was a nice, relaxing change before heading back outside.

Great seafood. Go here. Phil was an excellent server.
I had ahi tuna with sesame, it was perfect. Served with a ginger salad, perfect. The fried lemon shrimp was not so flavorful, but that was easy to overlook given the fantastic service.
Had lobster bisque to start, 10/10.
My wife had surf (half lobster tail and a scallop in lobster sauce served in a scallop shell, delicious) and turf (beef tenderloin ordered medium rare served perfectly). Had a hash brown with horseradish, interesting and complementary to the meal but not our style, it was the only thing we left on either plate.
They helped us pair drinks and did a fantastic job of it, thanks Phil!
It was our honeymoon, they gave us a free desert, molten lava cake, good Lord delicious.
