Stopped for a glass of wine and small plates happy hour. Ordered risotto and meatballs. Delicious and the marinara was superb! Great service, loved the ambiance.

I visited this restaurant on a recent Saturday evening while in San Diego for a conference. It was clearly busy, and there would be a wait for a table, which we expected. However, after the hostess took our name and gave us a wait time of ~20 minutes, we moved off to the side to make room for others (still very close to the hostess stand). After ~40 minutes, another member of our group went to check on things and was told that our name had been called (it clearly had not) and we were moved to the bottom of the list. After finally being seated another 15 minutes after that, we noticed that there were easily a dozen or more tables sitting completely empty, without reservation notices. At least this many tables stayed empty during our meal.

There were plenty of options on the menu - everyone should be able to find something they will enjoy. My group had a couple of types of pasta, and the special baked ziti. It was all good food, but nothing special or fantastic. I'll try a different place in Little Italy next time I'm in town.

Great amosphere, food and service was impeccable. Asked for an off menu dish and the waitress didn't even flinch. Prices were reasonable also.

Friendly staff, quick service, tasty food, and reasonable prices. Child's meal includes drink and scoop of ice cream for dessert. Lunch specials are varied and we'll served portions. Salad is very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend coming here for brunch or dinner. Outdoor seating was comfortable.

Wow. After reading numerous on line reviews of Mimmo's I couldn't wait to eat there. Four of us went for my wife's birthday.Inside the restaurant it was dark, so dark we had to use a cellphone flashlight to see the menu, and we were not the only table to do this. For appetizer we had calamari which had a thick brown extra crispy coating, over fried?, so that eating them was like crunching something hard. Inside the squid was very tough and chewy. The sauce was more like salsa than cocktail sauce.Bread was served with oil which I believe may have been a blended oil rather than pure olive oil. Two of us had pizzas and I strongly suspect they were made from frozen dough. Both were perfect circles with no crust. Eating the pie was like cutting soggy cardboard. Two people had pasta. The pasta was from a box and it was badly overcooked. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. the service a bit slow. Hard to believe they can serve this kind of food for the prices they charge. They also have this quote on their website.."All of our food is from fresh top quality ingredients to create the freshest meal possible." If only.
