After cycling around coronado with family we were starving so ended up seating at the pizza place.
Our waitress gave us the right recommendations and was very friendly.
We tried different pizzas - salami mushroom, roasted peppers onion mozzarella, tomato ham mozzarella etc and they were all great items. Menu had other great choices of salads, pasta and kids menu too.
A fun, casual place for pizza. Would return.

Living in Coronado we eat at Village Pizzeria on occasion. We have been disappointed for the third time while eating lunch since they have changed their menu selection and prices. Our lunch on July 12 was the most disappointing. Our server was not friendly, although other servers were. She did the minimal job of serving us, no orange slice in the partial pint of Coronado Avenue Wit, too much foam. At $7.80 per glass it would have been nice to have a full glass. We no longer order the Italian salad, because everything is chopped into tiny pieces and doesn't look appetizing and the flavors mesh together. We ordered the Caesar Salad for the first time to go with our 12" pizza, it was more of a crouton salad which came with no utensil to serve it. The pizza was very good and should be for the current price. Lastly, we paid with a gift card. This was confusing to our server and when we received the check, there was no balance receipt. We gave up at that point and said, "We're paying for the view!" We left a tip, but it was a forced tip!

I like their pizza a lot, slightly on the sweet side but thin and crispy, as I feel pizza is meant to be. The sandwiches are monstrous and the wings are excellent too. Happy hour is where it's at, $2.50 slices, half off apps and $5 pints. About the best place on the island for a tasty treat during Happy Hour.

My cousin and I went here last week (probably last Saturday) and were deeply disappointed. We ordered garlic knots and the "Whitestone pizza". The place claimed to have an east coast taste or style or something like that. Definitely not. I am from Long Island, New York. I know what a good garlic knot and a good white slice of pizza tastes like. I didn't get that here. Now that's not the main problem. I get it... it's California so I am not looking for the best pizza ever. The pizza tasted sweet... which is not what white slice pizza tastes like. So, our server... Kirsten or Kristin or something was terrible. We told her that we weren't fond of how it tasted... and she told us "that's how it's supposed to taste". No. It's not supposed to taste like that. So we told her we didn't want anything else from there. She avoided our table for the rest of our visit. It was probably another ten minutes after our complaint that she brought us the check without even asking if we wanted another glass or anything. Yeah, we did say we didn't want anything else earlier... but, my cousin and I have both worked retail and service industry.... you try to make the consumer as happy as you can. I would have appreciated anything besides just getting the check handed to me. So we put our cards in with the check and Kirsten doesn't even come to our table for a while. She flirts with some bearded man and then walks past our table. During this time, two men who sat down to eat left after not being noticed by her for so long. I wouldn't have been so unhappy had it just been the bad food. The one redeeming factor was that she took the pizza off our check.

Extremely solid experience at Villiage Pizzeria. The really nice thing about this location is the view looking back across the bay at Downtown. Since its right next to the ferry landing, if you are taking the ferry across to downtown you have plenty of time to eat your slices and finish your beer before you have to run down the ferry dock. In the summer, or anytime the weather is nice, the covered outdoor patio can't be bested for a place to sit and enjoy the passers by.
