The location is great. But the management was a bummer. We paid in advance for 7 days in a unit with an ocean view. While en route, we got a phone call from Adrian advising that another family had been given our ocean view unit and we were moved to a unit with no view (for the same price). We tried to be amiable and easy going, but when we arrived we learned that not only did our unit not have a view, it was the "pet friendly" unit. That's fine for people with pets. But my son has allergies and had to be medicated shortly after arrival. We expressed our frustration with Adrian who told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave. We searched for another hotel/condo but everything is booked. So we decided to make the best of it. We've since discovered that the grill they advertised doesn't work well, with only a small section that will actually function, so burgers and steaks can only be cooked one at a time and it takes forever. The whole situation just sucks and the on site manager (Adrain) doesn't care. He just acted like a victim of the other renters. Maybe we just caught him on a bad week?

We love the location of this condo. Right in between the bay and ocean, and just south of Belmont Park. Have a fun beach day on the Pacific Ocean side, then a fun bonfire night on the bay side to watch the Sea World fireworks! We had the lower unit with large patio and plenty of room for the whole family to stretch out and enjoy. It comes fully equipped for everything, including grilling out utensils and large BBQ grill, bikes, and a lot of beach toys! You won't be disappointed here, and the host, Adrian, is always nearby in case you need anything.

Who needs to go to some big fancy resort when you have paradise right at you feet at Dover Sands! You will never get bored or hungry in this neighborhood. I love staying at Dover Sands... I never want to leave!

What a great time my family had at Dover Sands in San Diego! We spent my wife's birthday there and it was outstanding. We were in one bedroom and the kids piled in the other. We loved the kitchen to save a little money on going out to eat all the time. The rooms are clean and updated. Perfect vacation destination!

Just got back home from Dover Sands San Diego Vacation Rentals and my family had a blast! We booked last minute and got a great price, but I was a little worried that it might not be up to my standards, but boy was I wrong! The resort is spotless. Clean, beautiful, roomy....and the beach is right out the door. My kids (age 3 & 6) didn't want to leave. The staff was very helpful and it was great having a completely equipped kitchen in the suite. If you don't want to cook, there are tons of restaurants nearby... A great family trip!
