Possibly the best French restaurant I've been to. We were a group of 4 and we all went for the "Create your own 3 Course Menu" and tried many different appies, entrée's and desserts - they were all very good. Will definitely return the next time I'm in San Fran.

Delicious food, good wines, great ambiance, lovely tables and lighting, good bar. My favorite place to dine.

Fantastic food and drink. The atmosphere very French bistro. We enjoyed it immensely and will go there again.

My fiancee and I are from Iowa (pork capital of the US) and Chapeau!'s pork tenderloin was the BEST pork we had ever had! From the drinks to dessert, we enjoyed every course of our meal. Will definitely be returning to Chapeau! on our next visit to SF!

This is a dining experience not a restaurant. If you think the food takes too long; it's you, you're here to enjoy your company, have a moment between your plates, have some wine, and enjoy being catered to.
Chef Philippe is amazing, an energetic artist whose passion for food is passed to you, for you to experience and savour. His passion is translated through the finest ingredients, food prepared with love, which will be enjoyed by yourself and your party.
You'll find him in the dining room visiting tables, his energy is contagious and endless.
Ellen an owner as well is found managing the well orchestrated dance you'll observe in the dining room. Her generosity and graciousness are equal to Philippe's, she compliments the chef and offers a genuine smile and warmth as she greets you continually throughout the evening.
A Michelin star is not far away. If you appreciate the fruits of your labor, you'll love spending it here as it gives you an experience that's remarkable.
