It's a great place to get off the street and sit down to enjoy your lunch or just rest for a few minutes. But, it's like the other reviewers said, it's a bit noisy due to the construction. If the main water feature was working, it might dampen the noise a bit, but it isn't working. Also, be aware, no dogs allowed, which is a plus if you want to sit on the grass, but a minus if Fido is with you.

View is nice, looking up at the buildings will make you dizzy

This is a hidden gem in SOMA (south of market) where a whole lot of workers come to escape their cubicle prisons to have some fresh air. The only downside is that there is construction on one side, but it's OK. When it's sunny, there's not that much shade, but in general great place to go. They have tables and chairs, and areas to sit if those are taken up. There's also a nice waterfall type art piece as well.

Stairs on the Mission St. side lead up to a very well-kept garden with benches, tables, and adequate shade. Unfortunately construction noise during working hours may be bothersome. If you approach after hours, a security guard will bark at you through a hidden speaker.
