It's not quite like the food in Italy, but it's pretty darn good. The execution is very Italian and authentic but the ingredients here, even in the bay area, are just not as fresh as Italy's.
We had a zucchini appetizer, a bucatoni pasta with tomato sauce, porchetta, and a ricotta cheese berry tort. The highlights are the porcheta and the dessert. Both are nearly like what we had in Italy...

Sat at the bar since I hadn't made a reservation. Bartenders were very friendly and quick with recommendations. the oxtail was exceptional.

The staff are fun, warm, welcoming and authentic Italians, the food is divine and the wine delicious! I agree: next best experience besides booking a flight to Rome. Truely a delightful evening!!

I came in right at 9:40 and they graciously welcomed me to sit down. I proceeded to have a fantastic pasta meal along with a wonderful cocktail. The staff was incredibly hospitable and the entire restaurant gave a perfect cozy atmosphere. Definitely want to come here again!

Everything about this place was fabulous! We had a group of 12 for a girls night out. The wait staff were wonderful and accommodating and the food, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing. I'm a big foodie and I can definitely say that this is one of the best restaurants I've been to in SF. Outstanding service which made the overall experience enjoyable and fun! I wish I could give 10 stars instead of just 5!
