Same owner (Gilberth) as the now-closed New Spot. As with New Spot, fantastic food but uneven service. I remember at brunch here one time the service was so bad the table next to us walked out.

My coworker and came here for lunch last week. I played it safe and ordered the Bacon cheese burger it was delicious. I took a look at other patrons plates and they all looked so tasty. So today I am going back I'm going to either go for the chicken plate or the Lomo Saltado. This place is a win win!

One of several relatively new hipster-flavored restaurants in Dogpatch, Gilberth's is a little cheaper and a little better (in every regard) than some other options like Serpentine. I'm not particularly fond of this type of restaurant, but if you have a group of friends who are into it, this is one of your better options in the area. It's still spendy, but most everything new is, and there are some genuinely tasty items on the menu. Cocktails ... hmm, small, not so strong, and not nearly as interesting as the menu promises, but that's true everywhere else in gentrified Dogpatch.

The food was DELICIOUS! And the waitstaff was super friendly. Also, drinks were perfect. I would dine here again in a heartbeat!

The food was well presented, colorful, and tasteful. Because of the fusion element, you couldn't really taste the traditional flavors. It was definitely a fusion of Mexican, Peruvian, and Central American cuisine. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and the traditional Cumbias playing in the background was a nice touch. I recommend making an RSVP and taking an alternate form of transportation. Parking is difficult and you can stand a while to be seated if you're just walking in.
