The restaurant itself appears to be a converted basement since you have to go below street level. The decor is basic, but it's clean, which is good enough for a place where you just want good food at an affordable price.
The shrimp noodles (#8) was tasty. It contained a lot of garlic and fish sauce. Portions were bigger than expected, I couldn't finish it all.
Service was excellent, but we did have to ask for the check after waiting for 5 minutes. Not a big deal.
If I lived closer, it would be my local joint to pick up something and go home to eat it.

High quality Southeast Asian fair. Don't be turned off by it's location.

Food is good, but my Indonesian friends said it wasn't to their standard. So as a non-indo person, I give it 5, but they give it 3.

Excellent quality food at great prices like the other location in the Richmond. Their laksa is always on point. This location only has roast chicken and doesn't have the Hainan style chicken that the other location has though, and being in the basement of a house feels a little darker

Good service and price, but I wasn't too impressed by the food. I got a congealed clump of tasteless noodles in the end, and wished I had gone somewhere else.
