A charming piece of this city's coloured heritage.
Now if only the city could come in at night to remove the grates and dig out what sludge and garbage is plugging up the storm drains.
Then early morning hosing down of Chinatown can be routine like it is in the Tenderloin's neighborhood.
But most of the drains here are fouled, so the waste water runs down the street instead of down the storm drains.
Down into the financial district. So the foulness travels from one side to the other - which is bad impressions for our visitors.
