Stopped in on a day beach trip from Sarasota .
The chicken and waffle was delicious. I wish we hadn't had dinner plans because we both wanted more chicken!
As a Tennessee native I consider myself an expert in fried chicken and this place is a hidden gem.
The owners were very friendly and their greeter, Adrian, was a very cute 6 year old red lab that loved attention.
If you are on Sanibel stop here. You will be glad you did!

Possibly the best fried chicken on Earth is in Sanibel. Everything is fresh and delicious. The Harlem Special is an unexpected surprise. Note, if you are feeding a group, I think their menu recommends too much food per person. A 20-pack feeds 10 people easily with a couple of extra biscuits.

In a word - AWESOME.
Easily the best fried chicken I've had in years. The crispy skin is A-mazing!
The "8-combo" was more than enough for my family of 4.
The chicken was great, the biscuits fluffy and tasty, and the collard greens were also quite good.
A couple tips:
1) it's great for takeout
2) you can go in/out in 'beach attire'
3) don't forget to try some of their assorted sauces, oils, and vinegars - both the wing sauce and the 'house' sauce were tasty
4) Skip the fries and go for some of their more adventurous sides. You won't be disappointed.
When we return to Sanibel, Pecking Order will surely be on our to-do list!

This place is just perfect for the island. I called in a large order to pick up. They were quick but took time to make sure we had everything we ordered. They even helped me to the car with all of it. Friendly, efficient, reasonably priced------that was before I even touched the food! All 10 of us loved it. Kids bucket is perfect for beach picnic. I got a breast and Harlem special. Chicken and Waffles was great.So delicious! Will be back!

Chicken was delicious. I generally judge chicken by flavor, cripsy texture, and how juicy the white meat is as it tends to be more dry than other pieces of chicken and this place has some of the best fried chicken from a restaurant. Service was quick and staff was very friendly with the owner chatting with us. If you like collard greens I definitely recommend them! We tried the Harlem special and enjoyed every bit of it.
