The food at santos mezcal was the best Latin/Mexican food I ever had .

The location is wonderful since it's about 5 mins walking distance from the beach and 2 mins away from the heart of the Funk Zone. I love coming to this particular hotel because of their interior and how minimalistic the rooms are compared to others. What I mean by minimalistic is that there are no refrigerators or microwaves inside your room however they do offer a refrigerator and microwave in the main lobby. The refrigerator and microwaves are locked away so it doesn't have public access and only staff can enter the room. They offer complimentary bikes for hotel guests to enjoy throughout their stay at Santa Barbara. The customer service at this hotel is amazing! All the staff are very respectful and they're great at suggesting activities. John was particularly outstanding because he was extremely young looking and seem to be by himself but still maintained an extremely professional attitude and demeanor about himself. I can understand why management would allow someone so young to man the front. Another staff that stood out was the lady that checked us out. Ciela was very understanding and compensated our needs even till the end. From the moment we checked into the moment we checked out we had a very great experience with your staff.

Cool hipster place close to the pier and downtkwn Santa Barbara. Downstairs restaurant is delicious and would recommend it highly. However due to the proximity to the train tracks I don't know how quite it is at night. Other then that would recommend

A nice boutique hotel. I have stayed here a couple times. Unfortunately it is located next to the train tracks. It is however conveniently located within walking distance of several good restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Try to get a room on the side of the hotel opposite the train station and you will be fine.

I won’t say this place is for everyone, but I quite enjoyed this stylish hotel for the most part. I stayed here as a business traveler, so price wasn’t really an issue for me. That said the price is comparable to similar hotels in area. As most people have mentioned the rooms are small, but for me the modern decor makes up for that. The whole hotel felt like being in an art gallery, and a very clean one at that. The one thing I didn't like was the window in my room was blacked out. And then there are the infamous bathrooms. I don’t hate it and given the space constraints I thought it was cleverly designed. But space is limited, so if you travel with a lot of things this place may be too cramped. The train noise for me was barely noticeable, but then again I’m used to urban settings. The hotel is ideally located and is walking distance to downtown, the funk zone, and the beach. For a short 1 or 2 night stay, I’d recommend this hotel. I was there for 4 nights, and after a couple nights I found myself wanting a bigger room—or a window.
