Waitress was nice, although we didn't see her much. Unfortunately we waited for over half an hour and no sign of our food or any explanation from the staff of what was taking so long. We ended up walking out, left a fiver on the table for my sweet tea, I had two refills left too. If our waitress reads this I'm sorry we walked out, but that long of a wait for sandwiches at lunch time on Saturday with five tables in the restaurant....

Our group of four really enjoyed our waitress Casey this evening she was fantastic! Three of us ate the crab low country boil and I had the snow crab dinner. We all thought the food was amazing, it was the best seafood we've had in a long while. Shout out to the cooks! We will return. Thank you.

My husband and I, along with another couple came to Savannah for our anniversary and ate here on a Friday night. It was absolutely delicious! 2 of us are from Louisiana and are very particular about our food. Very rarely do I walk out of place completely satisfied, but we all did. I eat shrimp and grits everywhere I go and loved theirs. While I do like the usual creamy grits, I'm also a big fan of grit cakes as well. Loved the greens in it. My husband and other friend had the etoufee, seafood gumbo and red beans and rice, all were very good. Ms. Beverly was an awesome waitress. Very nice and helpful. We weren't in a hurry, so we didn't pay attention to the speed of anything. Bayou Cafe will be in our list to visit if we come back to Savannah.

The food is great,, the people there are great, the staff is wonderful they really make you feel it home and welcomed. And the atmosphere is also great. You just can't beat the buy you cafe.
People not only from other states come to the Bayou Cafe but from other countries as well. And the live entertainment which is nightly is second-to-none.

We liked the atmosphere but waited over an hour for our food. The couple beside us gave up and left after ordering their food and having to wait too long. When we finally got our food we had to flag down our waitress for utensils and napkins. Homemade chips were burnt. I looked over at the lady across from us who was telling her husband that her bread on her sandwich was burned. I could see that it obviously was. If I wait for food that long I just expect it to be way better than that! Clearly they were understaffed on a Saturday night. We were starving by that point or we would've left! Would be ok place to drink and listen to music, but wouldn't recommend eating a "nice" dinner there.
