Recently ate here Labor Day weekend. I love the inside the paintings are beautiful. Very colorful. The atmosphere is pretty chilled we went on a Sunday and it was mostly large groups to our group of 2. Menu has a pretty good variety it took me a while to decide I had the Alamo Omelette. I was hoping for it to be way more cheesier but it was still delicious. I recommend just paying extra to add grits they were so delicious and they gave u just the right amount of shredded cheese. Only issue I had was we came in and was told 15 min when we came back exactly at 15min the host looked as if we hadn't just came in even thou our name was written down then said well it's 4 people in front of you.. So why did you tell me 15min wait? Ended up just sitting at bar as that's first come first served

I have read a lot of reviews on this place and am puzzled as to why it's dubbed hipster as I saw no evidence of the usual hallmarks of a hipster establishment while I was there. There were fairy lights but I'm not sure that's the only criteria.
We arrived pretty early on a weekday morning and it was fairly busy with groups of college age people having breakfast. We were promptly seated and our orders taken right away. I can't fault the service at all, it was prompt, accurate and efficient which was great.
The specials looked really inventive and there's a wide variety of food on the menu but sadly we found the food to be pretty bland. I had the 'route 66' which was nice enough but more potato than anything else. My friend had the strawberry crepes and was not impressed at all. The coffee was also very bland.
I wouldn't recommend but it's not bad on the whole, just nothing to rave about.

Delicious!!!! Everyone absolutely loved what they ordered. I had a specials skillet. Can't remember the name but I had to have help to finish. Everything was great. The coffee was real and delicious. 3 of us in the group went through two pots. Definitely will be back!

Nothing special about the food. And the service was ok. Bad hygiene.
I had a good start even though it was packed I went alone so I sat at the counter right away. I ordered my meal and got it relatively quickly for how packed the place was.
I got some blueberry pancakes with granola and the basic egg, bacon and potato dish. The eggs tasted like plane old eggs with no other amazing flavor. The potatoes were also plane, like they just boiled them in water with nothing else to add flavor. The bacon was cooked good and tasted good, but that's because it's bacon. The pancakes were probability the saddest of all. I cut a piece off and stuck my fork into them. When I picked it up they split right in half. They were overcooked so the outside was very hard and the inside brittle and dry. And they were loaded with 3 giant spoonfuls of butter on top. I tried to load them with syrup to counter the dryness but that didn't help
At some point I went to the restroom and when I came back my drinks where gone. So I had to ask for them to get me new drinks.
Lastly, I liked that they are dog friendly and have dog food and a dog bowl for water. But I saw a waitress bring the bowl and fill it in the sink with water right in front of me instead of pouring some water from a pitcher. I say this because that's a place to wash your hands and be clean. Then she walked over to get ice which is nice but touched the ice scoop with her dirty hands and threw it back in there where they get ice for your drinks. I saw her take it outside and watched her to see if she would wash her hands and she didn't. She went straight to grabbing a cup for a customer to fill it with soda with her dirty hand. At that point I just left the place.

Excellent service with really good food. It's a little on the hipster side of things (what isn't these days?) for me but the excellent service (thanks Susan) more than made up for it.
It's an old service station (still has the garage door) decorated in cool art.
We were there for breakfast. All four of us had something different and it was all good. (I regretted not getting the blueberry pancakes with granola. They looked divine.)
Unpretentious and casual. Just plain good.
