Very useful information. Minimal snack bar. Ample restrooms, but in weird locations.

Beautiful building, but very difficult for anyone with disabilities or leg issues. Not handicap accessible women's restrooms and gift shop.
The museum inside is very nice, but small. Maybe a bit over priced. The train museum is amazing though. Check that out for sure.
The staff is great which is why I gave 3 stars. They know the city well and are proud to show it off.

Savannah is my favorite city in the South for many reasons. Amongst them is the brilliant planning and minds of their bureau of tourism. The visitors information center has inexpensive parking all within walking distance to historic Savannah. Even better they have between 9-10 parking spaces especially designed for RVs/trailers. The plus is you can dry camp in their lot for 48 hours for only $14 or $8 for a single night. It's safe, well lit and best of all inexpensive considering how pricey RV parks are in the area. Sure you don't have full hook-ups but it's well worth saving the money, able to spend it on a nice dinner and being within walking distance to historic downtown. The visitors center is open Monday-Saturday and has a snack bar, clean restrooms, free maps/reading materials about the city, gift shop, helpful staff and a place to charge up your devices. I highly recommend it to RV'ers and everyone else.
