Oliver's Twist is magnificent. If you're in Magnolia, go here. The drinks are exquisite and decently priced. I highly suggest the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It is the best tomato soup I've ever had and comes served with a layer of foam that you'll never forget.

Delicious cocktails! We went here after dinner for a drink and dessert. Sat at the bar, the atmosphere was very cool and cozy. I'm not usually a scotch person but had some amazing scotch based drinks here.

Moody bartender he still took good care of me. Look, we've all got problem of our own. Right? Wait for Steely Dan to come around on the tunes. He'll start singing along and it'll all be fine. Chicken wing confit are... chicken wings; three of them to be precise, with a yummy minty compound butter, feta, and no, not Frank's hot sauce but possibly something in-house and not so dissimilar; red and vinegary with a little heat. I'm the assemblage qualified as a canonical confit or that it quite stuck the landing on the intersection of experience to value but it did hit the spot for me today. I'm going to try to replicate it as an actual confit when I get home. The two taps deliver fine accessible local craft beer which will be introduced to you as though you don't know what beer is. Just roll with it. When I was there, it was Ruben's Bohemian pilsner (the Sazz hops and freshly lagered Chech malt were a perfect foil for the unctiousness of the wings). The other faucet was a Stoop IPA. Stoop always has about five different IPAs going so my confidence in my grumpily-reserved barman was elevated when I asked for clarification and he knew it was the Citra. For sopping the confit wreckage, fresh grilled toast points are recommended and will arrive after a fashion, delivered by a maudlin character who might be Teller's (of Penn and Teller) cousin. I'll be back.

Great cocktail bar and Ian really knows his stuff. Hard to resist the popcorn & dates if the kitchen is still open.
