My FAVORITE! You have to try this place!
PIZZA: Large, quickly made, FRESH, and wonderfully tasty! Very thin crust, too, which I love. They do have other crust options, but I love the regular super-thin crust so much I have never even tried the others. I am more of a classic cheese-sausage-mushrooms person, but the more unusual ingredient combinations are well-balanced and excellent.
KIDS' PIZZA: Perfect size for one kid (or two eating other things, too), and only $5!
SALAD: FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!. So good!
COOKIES: Slightly too sweet for me, but definitely tasty. Thin-sweet-crispy.
ICE CREAM: OH. MY. GOD. Can't order it very often, because I have a hard time restraining myself.
WINE, BEER AND CRAFT SODAS: I haven't tried them, but I would expect them to be great, based on the quality of everything else.
BAKE AT HOME TIME: Maybe 10-12 minutes in a pre-heated oven. The thin crust really helps keep the baking time FAST. Also, I appreciate the fact that everything to be baked comes on parchment paper, so I just slide the paper off the cardboard base, and the pizza (or cookie) goes with it. Super easy! I slide the parchment-paper-and-pizza onto a (pre-heated) pizza stone or onto a baking sheet, because the crust is so thin (thinness which, as I mentioned, I love, love, love.)
TIME FROM ORDER TO DINNER: At first, I hesitated because I thought "bake-at-home" = "slow," but boy was I wrong!
PICK-UP: If I turn on the oven and then place my order, I can pick up the pizza (5 min away) and get home before the oven is even done pre-heating. My oven is not the greatest, but the point is the pizza gets made VERY quickly. Also, if I order at the store, I can watch them tossing the pizza dough and making my pizza.
DELIVERY: When I order delivery, it is a bit slower, but I plan for that, now, and the online order form includes a list of approximate delivery times to choose from, so I can order ahead of time, if I want to.
FULL DISCLOSURE: There is a small delivery charge, but it I don't mind. It IS small, and if it wasn't there, it would be baked into the cost of everything else.
ZAW is better than any other place on the island (in my humble opinion.)
