The best time to go is when it's slightly raining in the early evening. The crowds disperse but the shops are warm and inviting. The flower are fresh from the cool weather. The fish smell isn't too strong from the breeze. You don't get much pan handling. And the lights shine brighter. It's a wonderful place to wander, get a cup of hot coffee, and go to one of many local book shops, eateries, and trinket stores.

This really is a must-do if you're in the Seattle area. It's a very cool experience and it opens you up to a lot of new/different cultures. Aside from just being a great, fun environment, there are lots of cool shops and restaurants to visit. Many options for anything you could want from food to clothing to flowers. The only downside is that because it's so fun, it attracts a large crowd. This crowd can be annoying to work with, but I promise that it's worth it! Everyone needs to experience this place for themselves. It's really hard to describe.

This was a fantastic Market. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip in Seattle. My only wish is that it would have been more convenient to pick up fresh fish before I left for the airport. This Market has everything from fish two candles to homemade jams to a nice Pier to walk out on two great fresh Sandwiches for a picnic to beautiful fresh produce. I highly recommend taking the time to visit it. They even throw fish in the fish market.

A must do if visiting Seattle. Visitors and locals all love Pike Place. Only reason I gave 4 stars is it gets really crowded and sometimes hard to move around. This place definitely sums up the Pacific Northwest though. Beautiful views. Great food everywhere at all prices ranges. Of course shopping is everywhere at all prices ranges showcasing local clothes, food, art etc.

Pike market is a great place. I would recommend going there early in the morning when it is not the crowd. There are many good restaurants in the market to eat breakfast. Then after breakfast I like to walk around a bit to see what vendors are there. We might do a little food shopping there as well. There is a lot to see. Make sure you go to the lower levels. A lot of great shops below street level.
