Brookshire's of Shreveport

I live in housing so shopping at Brookshire's is the thing I do always had a good experience always been courteous and helpful I give it a 10. I've got you know management there are helpful it's always fresh and the cigarettes are cheap, that is cheaper than Circle K oh no groceries is a great store I'll give it a 10

Small grocery store but it still had a pretty good selection of items, even vegan mayonnaise! Their prices were a little high but they had good sales going on and a lot of generic brands to choose from.

I use this Brookshires frequently because it is just several blocks from my house. It's great for just running in really quick to pick up a gallon of milk or some diapers. They have a small selection of organic baby food packets so that's a plus. They've gotten much better since the remodel several years ago. They definitely could use some organic produce and should sell the fresh tortillas in the bakery like the Brookshires on Line Avenue. It's a smaller store so you can't expect it to have as much as the Line Ave store, but it's pretty good anyway. The employees have definitely gotten better over the last year or so. If I had written this review two years ago, I probably would have given this place one star because of the rude employees. Now when I go in, they always greet me and are friendly at checkout.

Amazing! as usual. The staff is always so helpful and courteous. The food is fresh and their fruit always good. I can always be found at Brookshires usually daily either to pick up fresh baked bread or a prescription.

They have one of those cards where the prices are a little better. I couldn't remember the number associated with my card because I got it when I had another number. Usually the cashier will swipe a dummy card when this kind of thing happens but not this time. Obviously management has decided to crack down, which is what managers at this particular chain do best. I asked if she had a card I could fill out on the spot. She said they're all in the office. More management in action! So I went to the office to fill out the forms. I didn't like doing this because there were people behind me waiting to check out, if nobody takes a stand the MBAs will ruin everything good in this world.
It worked. The manager on duty signalled the cashier who called me back and completed my transaction with discount applied.
Again, I didn't like doing this. The cashier did nothing wrong but she was having a hard day and I made it worse. I'm truly sorry about that. But people need to stand up for themselves and managers need to realize that rules like that are made to be broken. Regimenting every little thing is not the key to success and it's no substitute for visionary leadership.
