The food was so tasty! It's very quaint. Nothing like it in Shreveport. Great place to shop for unique gifts, too.

Being a Southern establishment I certainly did not expect perfection, but Glenwood Tea Room by no means serves afternoon tea. I had to specifically ask for true British tea, the sandwich presentation was juvenile at best and worth $5.00 NOT $20.00. The sandwich fillings were either tasteless or rancid, the scones, while flavorful were not served correctly, there were absolutely no traditional sweet options and the soup, though very tasty is by no means an afternoon tea item. Overall the servers were friendly, the setting adequate, and some of the food satisfactory. However, being a teacher of Victorian Afternoon Tea history and etiquette, I am saddened when this great tradition is misrepresented, disrespected and presented in ignorance.

We ate quiche and fruit. We also had a small regal salad and Angels dream tea. Ended meal with sticky desert. It was a great meal. We were glad we stopped in to eat.

I really liked the experience, the food and the tea. They were having a cupcake tasting when I went and they were delicious. There is a very cute shop when you enter that has jewelry, clothes and tea. I feel like the restaurant area needs to be updated a bit. It should still keep its charm. Also the dining area was a little dark. I noticed not all of the lights were on. However it was over all a great experience.
