Very expensive, small quantity of food, but decent bbq. But cheaper places with better bbq in Shreveport!

Food is pretty darn delicious. Can get expensive though. I would say it's one of the best bbq joints in S/BC

This bbq reminds me of the kind we were served in the college cafeteria. Not bad, but not what you'd expect at a bbq joint. But my parents were paying then, so we ate whatever was served. For the cost, Hickory stick could step up its game with a bit more flavor to its sauce and possibly not over smoke the ribs. Mine were a bit dry. The ambiance is country casual, but it fits. The tea was excellent. Just wish the rest of the meal equaled that.

Mediocre BBQ and unfortunately extremely overpriced. The meat was just ok, but they left the silverskin on the rib. Ordered a 3 meat plate for 17.95 and it was tiny. 1 small "ice cream" scoop of beans and potato salad. The bread was good - toasted fresh. Unfortunately, won't be back. Bodacious and Podnuh's are way better - more food for a better price.
