I went to Dr. Monson 6 months ago for sore toes due to pressure in wide shoes. He did surgery and set the pins in my toes out at almost a 45 degree angles. Now I have difficulty finding any double wide shoes that fit even after stretching. He asked if I tried "round" shoes. Even most orthopedic shoes do not fit. I am also in pain almost all the time and it is excruciating when wearing any closed toe shoe. I will probably never be able to hike or ski again- which are my passions and I was able to do prior to this botched surgery. The scar tissue is beyond belief, saying a lot about his technical skills. Think twice before letting this Dr. touch you!!! I am a nurse of over 20 years and was swayed by his smooth talking exaggerations. Now I am basically disabled and cannot believe he did this to me. Your feet are important, find another Dr.
