They do nothing but refer you to the 800 number, and the receptionist is extremely rude. Time to find another insurance carrier!

Signed us up for identity theft when we clearly stated NO we are going threw bankruptcy! She said the bill would only be $107 a month with everything all together!!! But aparently she had it set up for charges of 8.99 a month for identity theift and 17.99 a month for renters insurance to come out separately!!! We would NEVER agree to have ANYTHING withdrawn from our accounts we owe huge student loans and that money HAS TO BE IN THERE!! We cannott have ANY surprises!!! So when I called her to get it fixed and ask why she did this to us without ANY CONSENT she hung up on us!!!!!

I'm sad to say that, after years of recommending Geico (being customers for 15+ years) and having had good experiences many years ago, I can no longer recommend this car insurance.

In an incident where my parents were driving in a parking lot, the had stopped to wait for traffic to clear (as they saw a car coming around the corner). That car cut the corner too tight and hit them. While it caused nearly no damage to my parent's vehicle, it did severe damage to the other car. Thankfully, the lady driving was alright. After conversations with our Geico representative, my parents were assured that they were not at fault (after all, they were stationary).

Fast forward several months and the rates took a large jump. When we inquired about it, we were told that it was because that case had been transferred to a new claims agent and we had been held at fault...with no communication or attempt to reach out to us on this. Even after explaining what happened from our side, not enough effort was put to make things right or to restore things to the way they were (we were offered a "over time" reduction that still ended up with us paying significantly more than previously).

What this tells me is that I can't trust my own insurance company to consider our side of the story (especially considering that there are nearly 0 accidents on record outside of this one in those 16 years and no accidents with us at fault). Instead, I can only trust that they will take one side and expend little to no effort toward their own customers. They are merely looking to gouge us to cover their own mistake. If I can't trust them to try and work with the customer who paid them, then there's little reason to have this insurance and I will be shopping elsewhere.

Didnt do their homework on Spouse or additional Driver. Had me go through the WHOLE PROCESS, spent money, weeks going back & forth, only to find out that my Spouse has to have a License in order for ME & MY CAR to be insured. After 3 weeks of headache with Geico, they told me to find another company or broker, as they do not insure People that have a spouse w.o. a License... That is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. DISCRIMINATION OF UNLICENSED DRIVERS. How can you have the right to deny someone service, because of a Spouse's License Status... Refund is NOT enough, compensation for the 3 weeks of headache i had would be more fair. Hoping to take this complaint much further. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH GEICO!

I currently have Motorcycle insurance with Geico and I thought , why not put my two vehicles with them and save. Well, I went to them and got a quote for $1100 for 6 months until my 1 ticket from last year popped up. They bumped my rate up to $1600 for 6 months because they feel I'm high risk for 1 ticket in past 25 years. Pretty sad, needless to say I did not go through them. Very disappointed. I've been driving for 37 years, never, knock on wood, never had an accident and only a couple of tickets. So, to be treated as high risk is ridiculous.
