Since office at Moody St, Ludlow was moved and changed from Hampden County to Mercy Medical Group it is impossible to get through by phone for appointments, try to reach Doctor or the nurse. Left waiting on hold for way too long to wait while at work or on cell. After three days of trying, rather spend my valuable time looking for a new PC Doctor and office that cares about it's patients like Hampden County Medical used to.

The doctors who have worked with me have been absolutely terrific. However, as an organization, working with this practice can be frustrating. Since they merged with the medical group where I previously belonged, I have lost my allergist, my primary care (without any notice) and now my pulmonologist. They seem to be losing docs left and right. What's more frustrating is that they've taken on a corporate style for fielding phone calls. Requests and scheduling feels as though I'm being passed from person to person. I've had problems getting prescriptions refilled (even after the doc wrote the script), problems with scheduling and its always an issue to call and get an appointment. They're closed at certain hours of the day for lunch, they often don't have someone available to schedule the appointment and end up having to call back mid day, while normal folks are at work. I would love to just be able to call once and not have to make follow up calls.

Lastly, I always feel as though I'm a burden to the folks picking up the phone or checking me in when I get there.A smile or a little empathy would be terrific. From an outsider's perspective, everyone on their support staff at the front desk and on the phone seems generally miserable. Customer service training would go a long way for these folks.

I have to reiterate that the docs I've worked with (and continue to work with) have been great. However organizationally, it's been frustrating as a patient.
