Delectable wine pairings combined with excellent service! My husband and I have stayed in European castles for the last several years, enjoying amazing multi-course dinners. We were hoping to find a haunt in St. Louis that would offer the same level of delectable courses and attentive service. We're happy to say we found it here. If you drink wine, get the wine pairings to bring out the subtle notes in the food.

Went there last night. Great food, excellent service. We did the four course prefix with wine pairing, just the right amount of food and delicious. Nice, quiet, intimate atmosphere. We will try the tasting menu next time.

Overrated!!!
Although service was great, some courses were innovative and paring of different tastes were very interesting (positive). Main course was the worst. Place is built in the old house, no ventilation (not commercial building), it was very hot inside the restaurant. Price is very high for what you get, yes meals are tiny but I'm not looking to stuff myself, just to experience something great.
I'm glad that I visited Elaia and I know I will never go back there again.

One of the top places in town for a reason. The Mrs and I had the prix fixe menu with wine pairings. The flavors and wine choices were spot on, leaning to the heavy side (appropriate for our winter visit) with buttery lobster ravioli, lamb, and beef short ribs. We also had a great beet salad (impressive since I rarely like beets) and an awesome light and clean tropical fruit dessert. You pretty much have to do everything perfectly when you're charging $300 for a meal, and the staff did not disappoint. My wife was lucky enough to have a padded cushion against the wall, however I need to get up and stretch about every 30 minutes due to butt fatigue from my uncomfortable chair.

I took my family, and we each had the tasting menu. It was awesome. Everything was amazing. If you're in St. Louis, and you have a few hundred bucks to spare (yes, it's a lot but it's worth it), you might want to add this to your to-do list.
